About the Paintings: All are in excellent condition, having been
acquired from the artist.
About the Artist: David Zimmerman was born in Washington D.
C. in 1946. He studied at the Art Institute
of Chicago, and with Bill Woodward
at the
Corcoran Gallery of Art. His degree
work
at George Washington University included
study in drawing and printmaking with
Frank
Wright. He earned the Bachelor of Fine
Arts
degree in 1970, and following a brief
period
of study with Phillip Pearlstein in
Massachusetts
he returned to George Washington University
for studies with William Woodward and
Arthur
Hall Smith leading to the degree of
Master
of Fine Arts which was awarded in 1976.
Zimmerman has had numerous one man
shows
in the D. C. and Northern Virginia
region,
and is the recipient of many prizes
and awards.
His work has been included in over 100 group
shows and he is represented in several
East
Coast galleries. Corporate and private
collections
include: IBM, Eastman Kodak, Ernst
and Whinney,
George Washington University, Georgetown
University, and the National Park Service.
He resides in Keedysville, Maryland.
David Zimmerman is an accomplished
artist
of over thirty years experience who
continues
to create fresh, beautiful and evocative
