About the Painting:Very good condition.
About the Artist: An obscure artist whose works are seen from
time to time at auction in London and the
provinces. She lived in Addlestone, Surrey
in 1895, exhibiting at the R.A., R.C.A.,
R.H.A., R.I., R.O.I, SWA and the Dudley Gallery.
It's possible she may have exhibited under
another name, also, explaining the absence
of biographical information. Judging by this
work, and the prices (though modest) realized
at auction, she was a skillful and creative
artist.
