Biography: Charles Henry Richert was born in Boston, MA. He studied at Massachusetts Normal Art School (now Massachusetts School of Art) under Joseph De Camp, Ernest Major and R. Andrew. He lived for many years in Arlington, MA and taught at the Rindge Technical School (now Cambridge Public School) as well as the Mass. School of Art. He owned a summer cottage in Trenton, Maine where many of his summer works were done. During the fall, winter, and spring he would travel in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire painting. He died in 1974 in Belmont, MA.
