About the Painting: Very good condition; new mat and frame.
About the Artist: The artist lived in Glasgow and exhibited
1930-1938 at The Royal Scottish Academy and
The Royal Scottish Watercolour Society. Original
frame (discarded) bore the label of Aitken
and Dott (now The Scottish Gallery), art
dealers famous for showing the work of the
most successful contemporary Scottish artists
for some 150 years. Much of their inventory
were exhibition paintings from the RSA and
RSW.
