About the Painting Very good condition.
About the Artist: Artist has not been identified, but may be
Mrs. William Douglas MacLeod, wife of the
Scottish painter/etcher (1892-1963). She
has been recorded for one work at the Glasgow Institute in 1930 while living in Kilmichael, Milngavie,
Scotland. Another possibility is an M. MacLeod
of London who exhibited a painting with the
Society of Women Artists in 1940. Given the subject and location
of this watercolor, it's more likely to have
been painted by a Scottish artist.
