About the Painting: This painting is in very good condition.
It may have been cleaned and re-varnished.
White spots are light reflections. The frame
(rosewood with a gold inner lining) is consistent
with framing in the early 20th Century and
appears to be original to the painting. It
has the usual scuffs and scratches asssociated
with an item of this age. The board has the
remnants of the makers label, in English.
Too little of the printing remains to be
certain, but it appears to be from a New
York company.
About the Artist: Pietro Lazzari was a painter, illustrator,
muralist, and sculptor working mainly in
Washington, D.C.
