About the Artist: Etcher, engraver and painter. Born on 23rd July 1886 in London. Studied art at the R.C.A. under Short, Lethaby and Moira 1908-14, and received his diploma 1912. Exhibited at the R.A., in the provinces and abroad. Elected A.R.E. 1917 and R.Cam.A. 1941. Represented in several public collections. He was for a time Curator of Atkinson Art Gallery, Southport, and Headmaster of the Victoria School of Art, Southport.
