About the Artist: Watercolourist, principally of landscapes,
born in Walthamstow. Studied at the Slade
School of Fine Art under Alphonse Legros.
Exhibited RA, RBA, RI, RWA and Ridley Art
Club; had several one-man shows in London.
Haslehust's work was extensively reproduced,
notably in Blackie's Beautiful Britain series. His work is in the collections of
a number of British provincial galleries
- notably Bristol, Sheffield, Oldham and
Newport - as well as galleries in Canada,
New Zealand and Sri Lanka. For some time
he was president of the Midland Sketch Club.
