Biography: Born in Scranton, Pa., Nov. 3, 1914 and moved to Wilmington, Delaware about 1941. Studied with Nicolo Cortigilia, Roy C. Nuse and Rosell Weidner. Exhibited at the Everhart Museum, Delaware Art Museum, Baltimore Museum of Art, the Warehouse Gallery and the University of Delaware. His paintings are owned privately and by the University of Delaware. Saul Hanig died in Wilmington, Delaware on Nov. 19, 1977. - Delaware Art Museum exhibition notes, 1966.

Provenance: Acquired at auction (Kemblesville, PA) from the artist's estate.
