About the Artist: Although maintaining a studio on New York
City, Gordon Grant was a native Californian
and was active in California throughout his
career as a member and exhibitor of the California
Printmakers and California Society of Etchers.
Other prestigious memberships included: Salmagundi
Club NY, NY Society of Painters, Chicago
Society of Etchers. He had major exhibits
at the Library of Congress 1944-46 and Painters
and Sculptors of LA 1931, 1937. His works
are held in the permanent collections of
such institutions as: Whitney Museum, Library
of Congress, Anapolis Naval Academy and the
White House.
