About the Artist: Born 1923, New Haven, CT. Painter, art dealer,
gallery owner. He painted portraits,
landscapes,
seascapes, and still life capturing
the indigenous
character and culture of Cape
Ann where he
lived and worked. Listed in Who's
Who in
American Art, his work is held
in many private
and corporate collections. He
graduated from
Wesleyan University in Connecticut
and the
Rhode Island School of Design,
and did further
study at National Academy Schools
in Paris,
Rome and New York. He was a member
of the
Rockport Art Association, the
North Shore
Art Association, and the Salmagundi
Club
of New York City.
