About the Painting: Very good condition. Mounted in the original frame with brass plaque.

About the Artist: Pennsylvania artist and model, Elise Ford featured in several important paintings executed by Howard Chandler Christy (see images below). She was his model and companion for many years, and in the shadow of his greatness evolved her own painting style and exhibition success. "Chrysanthemums" was exhibited in a Madison Avenue gallery in New York and retains the gallery label, verso.
