About the Painting: Very good condition. There are a couple of tiny spots of missing paint - observable only upon very close examination.

About the Artist: Landscape painter, born Montmorillon (Vienna). He was a participant in the "Parlor of the Independent Ones in 1921," and maintained a studio in Antony, High-of-Seine. He was a member of the Society of French Artists, and won an exhibition prize from that Society in 1937 and the Corot Prize in 1938. He is listed in The Painters of the Charentes, Poitou and Vendé - XIX-XX Century by Gérard Aubisse. Davenport's lists a 20" x 26" work selling for $2,450.00.
