About the Painting: Very good condition. The painting was purchased in its original frame with remnants of a Pastel Society exhibition label. The painting has been re-framed (image below is the orginal frame), but the black inner liner was retained.

Biography: Painter in oil and pastel. Daughter of John William Dods; married Alfred Withers. Educated in Edinburgh and London. Exhibited at the R.A., R.O.I., P.S., I.S., Paris Salon, Barcelona, Munich, San Francisco, etc. Represented in a few public collections. Lived in London and died on 13th June 1939.
