Biography: William Daniell was a painter, watercolourist,
and engraver who travelled extensively
throughout
the British Isles. His artistic
output was
prolific and of a consistently
high quality.
He is best known for his topographical
and
architectural subjects, and for
his joint
venture with Thomas Daniell (an
uncle) in
India. Examples of William Daniell's
work
can be found in virtually every
important
colleciton of topographical and
architectural
art.
