About the Painting: Very good condition. Painted in Sauve (Hérault), southern
France, in September 2000. A great little
painting, ready to hang and enjoy!
About the Artist: David Brunwin was born in Banbury, Oxfordshire,
in 1939. For most of his early years he lived
in Kent, where he started sketching the boats
and harbours of the English Channel as a
boy. Working in watercolour, pen and wash
or in oils, his subjects also include landscapes,
street scenes and figures.
He was a member of the Wapping Group of Artists,
the Buckinghamshire Art Society, and several
local art groups. His paintings have been
exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London,
with the Royal Society of Marine Artists
and the Royal Institute of Waterclour Painters.
His work is in private collections in the
USA, Australia, South Africa and Hong Kong,
as well as the UK and Europe.
Authentication: The artist confirmed this watercolor to be
his work, and following his death, his daughter
provided additional information about the
painting.
