Biography: Born November 28, 1857 in Freetown, Bristol,
Massachusetts, Clarence Braley was a self-taught
landscape painter whose favorite mediums
were watercolor and pastel. He was active
in New Bedford, Massachusetts from 1875 to
1925 and participated in the New Bedford
Art Association. He also exhibited at the
Boston Art club and the Art Institute of
Chicago. Clarence Braley died in New Bedford on April
11, 1925.
