"Indian Summer", oil on canvas,
signed lower right,
24" x 30" sight, 30"
x 36"
framed.
About the Painting: Both the canvas and original frame are in
very good condition. The gilt on the
frame has rubbed a bit, but it is still bright.
There are a tiny spots of white paint scattered
over the painting that are not obvious without
close examination - probably extraneous splatters
from the artist's studio.

a large island
near Stavanger. He was a US citizen
living
in the US for 45 years in the

Another e-mail has provided some
additional
insights:
"I have just bought a picture
of mr.Berge.
He was my fathers uncle. He died
under his
exhibition in 1956. All his paintings
were
then "stolen" by his
manager [name
witheld]. I have his real voice
on tape visiting
norway 1955 (finnoy) and he told
that he
should bring about 80 paintings
for the mentioned
exhibition."
