Biography: Born in Ontario in 1875, by 1892 she was making her living as an artist. However, she trained as a nurse and spent the war years (WWII) in Paris, where she continued to create etchings, while driving for the American Ambulance Service unit.I n 1920 she did a series of highly detailed architectural etchings in France of cathedrals in Chartres, Rheims, Amiens, Rouen and Tours. In 1922 the Belgian Red Star Line commissioned a limited edition edition of the ocean liner Belgenland.

She had solo shows in many galleries: Galeries Simonson in Paris, 1923; Vancouver Art Gallery in Canada; Corcoran in Washington, D.C. in 1924 among others. In all she produced 557 etchings during her lifetime and accumulated many prizes and honors.
